Super Mario World

Super Mario World, known in Japan as Super Mario World: Super Mario Bros 4. It is a platform video game developed by Nintendo EAD and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). The game retains many of the elements that debuted in Super Mario Bros. 3 such as the world map and Koopaling boss battles, and introduces many new gameplay mechanics, such as expanding and shrinking.

The gameplay is similar to the previous installments and includes fast-paced platforming in (mostly) side-view stages filled with enemies and traps, which must be completed within the time limit. Mario has access to his traditional power-ups—Super Mushroom makes him bigger, Fire Flower lets him throw small fireballs at enemies and others. Mario is on vacation in Dinosaur Land when he learns that Princess Peach Toadstool has been kidnapped by the evil King Koopa Bowser. When Mario starts looking for her, he finds a giant egg with a dinosaur named Yoshi hatching from it. Yoshi tells Mario that his fellow dinosaurs have been trapped in eggs by Bowser's subordinates. The intrepid plumber must travel to their castle, rescue the dinosaurs, and eventually face King Koopa himself. You can play this game on your web browser for free on super-mario.io.
